A Long-Overdue “Hello”
Let me start by saying a long-overdue “Hello” and wishing you all a happy Fall!! Although we have been quiet on the newsletter front, we have definitely stayed busy! Since our last newsletter, we have sold our house and are now full time RV’ers! We purchased a motorhome and plan to live in it for at least a year. This winter we will be in Texas and return to the Tennessee/Kentucky area next Spring.
In the meantime, we have been blessed with some wonderful family moments, including a reunion, celebrating our grandchildren’s birthdays and a gender reveal for our 10th grandchild. We are excited to welcome Silas Daniel, who will join us in January 2025.
Through it all, God has faithfully reassured us every step of the way, guiding our decisions and giving us peace. His blessings continue to strengthen us.
On the ministry side, we are still in the support-raising, partner- building phase and have truly enjoyed meeting and connecting with many of you. Our financial goal is to be fully funded by the end of this year. We would love your help in reaching that milestone. If you know friends or family looking to make year-end donations, please share our mission with them and encourage them to consider partnering with us.
You can find our QR code at the bottom of this newsletter for easy access. We deeply appreciate your continued prayers and support!
Contentment…
Phil. 4:11
Being content in the state you are in, is part of the learning journey of Faith. Learning not to speak constantly out of our need; as a child would do. My prayer is; Lord, let our mind be steadfast, because I trust you. Isa. 263
Peace in Crisis
Hear O heavens, and give ear, O earth. For the Lord has spoken: I have nourished and brought up children and they have rebelled against me. -Isaiah 1:2
Our nation is broken. Our churches are broken. Our pastors are broken. This last year we have witnessed so much pain and destruction with natural disasters destroying property and lives. Division has moved into our nation in ways we have not experienced in the past. The safety of our children is under attack. A record number of pastors have resigned because their sin has been exposed. It doesn’t take much convincing to “hear” The Lord saying we have rebelled against Him! It
could easily be a time that our hearts faint with fear and hopelessness!
Except the chapter doesn’t end there!! After The Lord goes on to list a few more ways Israel had turned their hearts away from Him, He stops and gives an invitation for redemption and restoration. Verses 18 and 19 say so beautifully: “ Come now, and let us reason together, says the Lord. Though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool. If you are willing and obedient, you shall eat the good of the land.” What a picture of hope for us! Even when His judgement is released, His mercy is never far away. Restoration is always available when our hearts are turned to Him. I want to leave one more scripture for you, which is also in Isaiah. Chapter 26 verse 3 says, “You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You!” Shalom to each of you!
